Are you haunted by various ailments/pains with no known diagnosis?  Are you living a life of constant stress trying to juggle all the pieces?  Are you yearning for time off?  Do you wake up most days feeling exhausted?  Do you tell yourself that you’d like to start lifting weights, exercising regularly, eating better, or getting to bed earlier but you can’t quite seem to make that change because life has a way of getting in the way, and let’s face it, you’re just too tired?  Do you procrastinate and then beat yourself up about it?  Is it time for a change?

My name is Solange Bluethner, and like you, I struggled with a myriad of health issues for years, with little reprieve.  And when I say myriad, I mean MYRIAD!!!  Migraines, tonsillitis, ear infections, endometriosis, IBS, SIBO, sinusitis, pneumonia, probable low-grade lupus, anxiety, depression, and chronic neck and muscle pain just to name a few.  There was rarely a day that I didn’t repeatedly mutter to myself that I was exhausted.  When I got home from work, I desperately needed a nap before I could do anything else.  I would even schedule my day around having naps and couldn’t go an entire day on the weekends without one.  Yeah, you get the picture.

There was a pivotal moment in my life that shifted things for me.  I was having an excruciating and debilitating neck pain episode, the worst I’d ever had by far. The osteopathic physician (D.O.) who studied the x-ray and MRI results noted that there were no abnormalities.  How could this be?!? I thought to myself.  The pain was so bad I needed help getting on/off the x-ray machines-all the while moaning in agony!  I had to wear a neck brace to bed so I could try to get some sleep. And this is with an extremely high pain tolerance level.  (Remember, I tolerated years of migraines and endometriosis.)    The (D.O.) suggested I try an anti-inflammatory diet while I waited to get in to see a rheumatologist.  My G.P. had suggested I try a gluten free diet before for other reasons, but I had not wanted to believe it could make a difference because I wasn’t ready to give up my breads and pastries!!  With this level of pain, however, I was beyond desperate, so I decided to start the diet.  I was also very motivated not to have to deal with the potential of having an autoimmune disorder.  I began a strict anti-inflammatory elimination diet and within days, I was virtually pain free!  W O W!  Not only was I pain free, my head was clear, I lost a few excess pounds, and I was able to focus and concentrate while at work in the afternoons.  My gut felt better. Thus began my momentum towards well-being and vibrancy.  I have continued to be on a modified anti-inflammatory and Paleo diet ever since.  I am able to stay active and fit without repeated injuries.  I am able to exercise regularly, including strength training, yoga, and dancing.  My body is more resilient, stronger, and more flexible.  I sleep through the night and wake up with energy, confidence and hope.  I’m now in my fifties and feel the best I ever have.  I have more energy than I’ve ever had.  I don’t need naps during the day and can stay out an entire day exploring without feeling wiped out.  With my new-found vibrancy, I am now able to pursue my other passion for social and competitive West Coast Swing dancing on a consistent basis.

My new found anti-inflammatory Paleo diet changed my life so much that I became an Adapt Certified Functional Health Coach (A-CFHC).  With this training, I help others through their own journey toward a more vibrant self with less reliance on the conventional medical care model.
